Capillus Red Light Therapy Mat – Setup & User GuideUpdated 16 hours ago
Capillus Red Light Therapy MAT
Your complete guide to setting up and using the Capillus MAT: red and near-infrared light therapy with built-in neck support, three pulse modes, and wireless remote control for neck, shoulder, and upper back relief.
How It Works
The Capillus MAT is designed to cradle the cervical area while 450 LEDs deliver red and near-infrared light therapy to the neck, shoulder, and upper back. The ergonomic neck support positions the LEDs in close contact with the treatment area, enabling consistent, hands-free sessions lasting up to 30 minutes.
The MAT delivers up to 132 mW/cm² of irradiance and offers three selectable pulse modes, all of which are controlled wirelessly via the included remote. It powers off automatically when your session ends.
What's In The Box
Wireless controller battery: The remote controller charges via USB-C. Insert a USB-C cable into the controller's charging port and connect to the supplied power adapter before first use.
Setup & Powering On
The MAT runs on AC power; it has no internal battery. The wireless controller has its own rechargeable battery, which is charged separately via USB-C.
Charge the wireless controllerBefore first use, charge the remote controller by connecting a USB-C cable from its charging port to the power adapter.
Connect the MAT to powerPlug the large end of the power cord into the AC power adapter, then plug the adapter into a wall outlet. Connect the small end of the power cord to the power port on the top right of the MAT.
Inspect the MATBefore each use, check for cleanliness, cracks, sharp edges, or signs of corrosion. Do not use a damaged device.
Position the MATPlace the MAT so the built-in neck support cradles your cervical area while the LED lights align with your upper back and neck. Sit or recline comfortably.
Power on via remoteShort-press the on/off button on the wireless controller for 1.5 seconds to start your session.
Light Modes
Select your preferred mode using the wireless controller. All three modes deliver both 660nm red and 850nm near-infrared light simultaneously. The difference is the delivery pattern.
Steady, uninterrupted light output. Best for general relaxation and standard sessions.
Light pulses at 10 cycles per second. A gentler rhythm suited for longer sessions and relaxation.
Light pulses at 40 cycles per second. Higher frequency for active recovery sessions.
Use the up and down arrows on the remote controller to adjust light intensity within any mode.
Session Settings & Usage Guidelines
Sessions are adjustable from 5 to 30 minutes in 5-minute increments. The MAT auto shuts off when the programmed time ends.
| Goal | Frequency | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Relaxation & Wellness | Once daily | 5–30 minutes |
| Neck & Shoulder Tension | 1–2× daily | 30 minutes |
| Muscle Recovery | After exercise | 15–30 minutes |
Do not exceed 30 minutes per session. Do not run back-to-back sessions — allow time between treatments to avoid temporary dry skin or hyperpigmentation. More time does not increase the benefit.
Long-term use: The MAT may be used indefinitely when operated per the instructions. Consistent use over several weeks may enhance long-term benefits.
Care & Cleaning
Disconnect all cables before cleaningTurn off the MAT and unplug the power cord completely before wiping it down.
Wipe with a damp clothGently clean the surface with a soft, damp cloth. Do not apply excessive pressure.
No solvents or chemicalsDo not use acetone, alcohol, bleach, or any other chemical cleaners. These permanently damage the MAT and void the warranty.
Keep dryDo not use or store the MAT in a bathroom or near water. If it gets wet, do not plug in or use it — contact support.
Store at room temperatureStore between 32°F and 77°F (0°C–25°C) in a clean, dry location. Indoor use only — do not store or use outdoors.
