How It Works

The Capillus® Pet Vest is a wearable, wrap-style wellness device engineered to deliver 660nm red light and 850nm near-infrared light directly to your dog's muscles, joints, and skin in a single, comfortable session. A carefully engineered LED array in the wrap pad provides consistent, close-contact light exposure designed to support your pet's natural wellness processes.

Indications of Use

The Capillus® Pet Vest is a non-invasive wellness device that delivers red and near-infrared light therapy to support your dog's overall comfort and well-being. It is intended to promote relaxation, support circulation, aid muscle and joint comfort, and encourage your pet's natural restorative processes.

What's In The Box

Charging Your Pet Vest

The wrap pad has built-in rechargeable batteries and ships with two USB charging cables — one for each pad.

1. Connect Each CablePlug each USB charging cable into the charging port on its pad's controller.

2. Watch the Indicator LightThe controller's indicator light shows charging status while the cable is connected.

3. Charge Both Pads Charge both pads completely before your first use.

4. Disconnect Before UseOnce charging is complete, disconnect the cables before starting a session.

Low Battery Indicator

The controller has a lightning bolt symbol that shows the battery status. If the battery runs out and you try to turn the device on, the symbol will blink red twice, and you'll hear two beeps. If this happens, charge the device before using it again.

How to Use

The Pet Vest offers 4 light modes with 3 intensity levels. Setting up a session comes down to two choices.

1. Choose a Light ModeSelect Steady, Calm, Recovery, or Wellness mode based on your session. If you are unsure which mode to choose, Steady Mode is a good starting option.

2. Choose an IntensitySelect Low, Medium, or High. Start with a lower intensity for first-time use, or for pets sensitive to light or warmth.

Usage Guidelines

• For optimal results, the Pet Vest may be used 3 to 4 times per week, depending on your pet's individual wellness goals and comfort level.
• Each session is set for 20 minutes using the built-in auto-off timer.
• Allow the device to fully cool down before each use.
• Exceeding the recommended times or frequency may not increase the effect of the device.
• The Pet Vest is intended to be used on one pet at a time.
• Begin with a lower intensity and monitor your pet during each session. Your pet should remain calm and comfortable throughout use.

Care & Cleaning

The Capillus® Pet Vest has no parts that can be serviced by the user. If service is required, contact Capillus® at +1 (786) 980-2712.

1. Turn the Device OffAfter the session ends, turn off the device and unplug it from any power cord before cleaning.

2. Let It Cool CompletelyAllow the Pet Vest to cool fully before folding or storing.

3. Wipe the SurfacesWipe inside and outside surfaces with a soft cloth or towel. Use a non-toxic cleaning wipe.

Keep It Dry

• Do not charge or use the Pet Vest if it gets wet.
• Do not use the Pet Vest in wet surroundings, such as near pools, baths, or in the rain.
• Do not submerge the Pet Vest in water or let water run into it.
• Do not use or store the Pet Vest in the bathroom or near water.
• Do not charge or use the Pet Vest if it has been left outdoors.

Storage & Servicing

Transport and Storage Conditions

• Keep between 0°C (32°F) and 25°C (77°F), at a relative humidity range of 15% to 90% and an atmospheric pressure range of 700 Pa to 1060 Pa.
• Store flat or loosely folded, and avoid creasing the LED panels.
• Don't stack heavy objects on top of it.
• Keep away from moisture; never submerge the device.

Protect the Device from Damage

• Do not try to open the Pet Vest or any of its parts.
• Do not crush, drop, or damage the Pet Vest.
• Do not attempt to repair or modify the Pet Vest.
• Do not crush or dispose of the device in fire.
• Do not use the device if it is damaged — using a damaged device can lead to harm.

Disposal

Dispose of the device in the appropriate waste stream as per local ordinance and regulations.

Safety & Contraindications

Do Not Use the Pet Vest In Conjunction With

• Medications that are photosensitizing.
• Products that are photosensitizing.

Do Not Use If Your Pet Has Any of the Following

• Suspicious lesions, skin cancer, or unexplained lumps at the treatment site.
• Broken skin, open wounds, rash, or blisters at the treatment site.
• Active skin infection at the treatment site.
• Known photosensitivity or a light-sensitive skin condition.
• Recently received injected or topical steroids.

Consult a Veterinarian Before Use If

• Your pet is pregnant or nursing.
• Your pet is experiencing skin sensitivity or irritation.
• Your pet has an injury, disease, is recovering from surgery, or is under veterinary care.

Supervision and Intended Use

• Do not leave the Pet Vest unattended on your pet when it is powered on.
• Not intended for pets with reduced tolerance to warmth or restricted mobility, unless supervised closely.
• Not intended for very young puppies or fragile pets without veterinary guidance.
• Small parts such as buckles and straps can be a choking hazard — if any parts break off or detach, dispose of them safely and keep them away from pets and children.
• Do not use the Pet Vest if it has been left outdoors.

Warranty & Returns

One-Year Limited Warranty

Capillus offers a one-year limited warranty covering manufacturing defects under normal use conditions. Capillus LLC warrants the Capillus® Pet Vest against defects in materials and workmanship when used normally in accordance with Capillus's published guidelines, for a period of one (1) year from the date of original retail purchase by the end-user purchaser.

By using the Capillus® Pet Vest you are agreeing to be bound by the terms of the Capillus one-year limited warranty as set out in the user manual. Please register your product at www.capillus.com/warranty.

90-Day Return Policy

All www.Capillus.com purchases of the Pet Vest may be returned within 90 days of the original delivery date for a refund or exchange. To make a return, contact Capillus® at 1 (786) 980-2712 to obtain a Return Material Authorization (RMA). Capillus® will not accept any shipments without an RMA, and will only accept fully functional, like-new devices in their original packaging with all accessories included.

If you received a product in a damaged condition, hold on to your shipment and do not discard any damaged boxes, packaging, or products. Report the damage to us and we will determine whether you should return the product for a replacement. You may be asked to provide pictures of the damage to help process your claim.
